A very ‘revealing’ way to approach your marketing copy
I read beer labels. I find it a wonderful pastime as I sip a delicious ale or lager.
Most beer labels give you the essentials, but some go far with this:
“You can drop everything from New Belgium’s Skinny Dip, a full-bodied beer that’s designed for the summer dress code. Cascade hops frolic with a splash of kaffir lime leaf creating a bright, citrusy palate that’s as crisp as chilling in a mountain pond.
Skinny Dip – a most revealing beverage”
New Belgium Brewing – Fort Collins, CO USA
Frolic; Splash; Chilling; Revealing – it’s not often that you see these words in a marketing campaign. And it works like a charm for fun, fanciful, and moving prose.
- What images/pictures are you creating with your copy?
- Are you causing your target audience to snooze or soar?
- Are you doing all that you can to create stunningly clear images that take people places?
New Belgium Brewing draws a vivid, colorful picture that everyone can see.
Crack open a bottle of New Belgium Brewing’s Skinny Dip today and applaud the delicious taste AND the outstanding work that they continue to deliver from a marketing standpoint.
It is rare that companies deliver quality products with a surefire approach to reaching their customers via emotive copy. I am a believer.
Do you have other examples of vivid, colorful marketing copy? Please share.
