Let Them Know You Care

You’re at work. A co-worker does something special to move your project along.

Most of us would think about saying something to that overperforming person, but how many of us would actually act?

Make that extra effort and give that person ‘a pat on the back’, or ‘some encouraging words’. This small gesture will definitely make it easier for that person to perform similar actions again.

How would you feel if someone in your workgroup let you know that you’ve done a great job of the past few days and weeks? Wouldn’t you feel like walking on air?

Let others know you care by acknowledging and communicating to them that you appreciate their hard work and diligence.

Time and time again, we read surveys from recruiters that say that #1 reason that people leave their job is that they feel underappreciated. Don’t fall victim to this statistic — let them know you care.
