Slow Down
Since when did life get so busy? Or are we creating the unnecessary busy?
We race here, run there, sometimes without a true purpose in mind. We accept meeting invites for projects that don’t need or want us there.
It’s time for us to take back our days.
Set clear priorities. Resist the impulse to check e-mail incessantly. Save the social media for your lunch break and spend your work hours burning down the work that will have the grandest impact on the business.
I am tired of hearing everyone say: “I am so busy.”
I want to respond, “What are you doing? How are you adding value? How is your work contributing to the goals of the team or business?
Let’s start owning our days and stop letting our days own us.
Until next time,
Dan Naden
